Old Art Deco Wine Glass American Irish or Scottish. From knowledge of the source of this glass, you can take your pick of where it originated. It is very stylish and very heavy. Perhaps you have seen one like it, or can confirm where it might have originated. It has a lovely pillar cut stem and beautiful optic cutting on the bowl (6 circles and 6 sides to the stem). The glass appears to have a slight greenish tinge. The pontil is partly polished. Very elegant and very reminiscent of the 1930's. It is difficult to date exactly, but we know the provenance of the glass, and know that it can be no later than the 1930's, could be earlier. |
