Sowerby Queen's ware Ivory three footed pressed glass bowl 1329

Sowerby Queen's ware Ivory three footed pressed glass bowl 1329. This is marked with the peacock head of Sowerby and has a date lozenge. The lozenge has a 16 at the top, a D at the right, an R at the bottom and an 11 at the left so this makes the registration the 16th August 1878. It is later shown as pattern number 1329 in the 1882 pattern books. Sowerby's best and most intricate designs were used for Ivory Queen's ware and were highly priced at the time. This pattern looks to be inspired by Walter Crane.
