Moncrieff Monax glass conical flask vase with thistle
Moncrieff Monax glass conical flask vase with thistle
Moncrieff Monax glass conical flask vase with thistle. This is a piece of glass making history! Moncrieff originally invented this heat resistant glassware during the first world war and they named it Monax. You can see more about this at Ysart Glass. You can also find a reference to Monax glass in the Proceedings of the Royal Society of London, Series B, Biological Sciences, Vol 118, No 810 (Oct. 3, 1935), pp 419-438 where they referenced using Monax glassware throughout their experiments. It is a little bit unusual and difficult to date, but probably from sometime just after the Second World War. For something a little different, just try this Monax glass flask. A collectors piece.
