| Art Studio pottery stoneware jug, marked SC 1959, possibly Seth Cardew. It has been suggested that this is an early piece by Seth Cardew, but it seems unlikely as he did not start potting at the Wenford Bridge pottery until the 1970's. This jug is clearly marked 1959. If it was by Seth, then it would be a prodigious accomplishment. It is certainly a well crafted jug with the traditional west country colouring in the glaze.
