SylvaC pottery vases 4693 based on Winged Bull design from Persia, Mesopotamia, Assyria. The Louvre in Paris has a very similar design of a winged bull from Susa in Persia from around 500BC. It takes the form of glazed tiles on a wall to create the picture of the bull. Now we have a more modern version of the bull design. The vases are very appealing and colourful. There has been quite an effort to paint these by hand. There is a bull front and back on each vase. It is good to have the two in the different colourways, and we think these are quite unusual. Height 15.6 cm

Width 8.2 cm

Condition is good, one vase is more crazed than the other, and this is normal for the age and material. Any discolouration is intentional and part of the design. They are signed 4693 SylvaC Made in England. Packaged Weight 970g
